Invitation codes let participants join a project or survey without manually being added by the study team.

Code scope

An invitation code may be scoped to a whole project or to selected surveys. It may also be single-use or multi-use depending on how the study is configured.

Email invites

When you send an invitation by email, keep the message minimal. Avoid including diagnosis, sensitive study eligibility details, or private project context in the subject line or body unless your approved notice requires it.

Handling codes

• Share each code only with the intended audience.

• Revoke codes that were sent to the wrong recipient or posted in the wrong place.

• Use single-use codes when one code should map to one participant.

• Expect generic errors for invalid, expired, revoked, or overused codes.
